Are you a parent concerned about the effects of screens on your child? Are you a professional wanting to upskill yourself on the evidence of screen over-exposure on Children's development?

Screen Over-exposure: Helping Children Thrive in a Digital Age

In today's digital world, children are often exposed to screens at an unprecedented rate. There is now evidence that there are links between screen over-exposure and ‘autistic-like symptoms’.

There is evidence that these behaviours can be alleviated through screen removal. I understand the importance of fostering a healthy relationship with technology and work with families to get the balance right. If you're concerned about the effects of screen overexposure on your child's development, I can help. With over 40 years of experience working with young children, I offer a range of practical solutions.

I deliver keynotes, train professionals and parents/carers across the world, on Children in the Digital Age as well as one-to-one child and family consultations. I suggest ideas to assist in reducing screen time and promote alternative activities that nurture creativity, social skills, and overall well-being.

Helping professionals, parents and carers raising and educating young children in the digital age

Foundations of a Joyful Life

What children need to thrive and be joyful is the assurance that they matter and are loved. Nurturing their self-belief and resilience is key, as is engaging them in fun and loving conversations to foster communication skills.

We All Need to Know We Matter

At the heart of our existence are relationships - with ourselves, our children, and everyone around us.

The single most important time in human development is from conception to the age of 7. It is now known that our experiences during this time shape who we become and lay the foundations for our entire lives. These experiences are often the root causes of some of today’s most complex social challenges.

Advocating for Children’s Well-being

As a passionate advocate for children's well-being and with a career spanning 40 years in education and professional development, I am dedicated to helping you find solutions to life's challenges.

There is an illusion that screen exposure and tech games are educational. One that has usurped the natural curiosity a child has for the real world. Research has shown that children aged 2-5 years who have more than 4 hours per day on devices are 98% more likely to have serious relationship and communication problems.

Discover how to rekindle your joy of life for yourself and your children.

I am committed to alerting parents of the dangers of screen over-exposure on young children’s development.

Testimonials

“Sarah, what is different about your boxes is you. You are beyond a professional, more into EYFS guru status and honestly, you are locally known as so. You have SO much to offer both children and families. What you have to offer is based on decades of research, experience and is in line with the early years educational goals and curriculum. Basically, your boxes are teaching your families how to interact with their children, how to ask questions, how to listen, how to let the child lead. It's not a box of things to devour and be finished with. Each piece can lead to probably hours of play and discovery if the adults can successfully steer the children without taking charge.”
